Film Scanner on the way

I ordered a Minolta DiMage Scan Elite 5400 II through PriceUSA.com.au with express priority shipping.

So when it eventually gets here I'll post up some scans.

This is the scanner here - http://www.amazon.com/Minolta-DiMAGE-Elite-Slide-Scanner/dp/B0007WZN12

Actual detail level tested vs the CoolScan V, this is higher (5400 dpi vs 4000 dpi, tested the Minolta can get 5000, the Nikon up to 3900, though only with the right lens and fine film).

I'll be scanning my good stuff with multi-sampling, in VueScan :)

when i get some more $, i'll get a 3-bath E6 kit for home E6 (and cross-processing negs).

I was quite impressed with some test scans on a Minolta Scan Dual II (2820 dpi) which uses a cold cathode i think it was.. cant wait to rescan with this, which has diffused LED ^_^

update : okay so those arseholes were out of stock when they said they werent (nothing against priceUSA, but the actually selling place thingy itself) so I got a refund and will have to get it from a new shop place.
