Recommend me an arcade stick (X360)

I've got a bit of a buzz for SCIV again, and with SFIV just around the corner, I'm wanting to invest in a 360 arcade stick.

I used to have the (Hori?) DOA stick and it was okay. It had the Japanese style ball+thin stick that clicked when moved. I prefer the thick plastic stick with smaller ball, but beggers can't be choosers.

Online stores would be best since I'm in the UK, and the cheaper the better :D

Cheers

I suppose it depends on how far you're willing to go.

If you want the best you can get, hunt down a PS3 Virtua Stick High Grade and get it modded to work on 360, which a mate has done for me (waiting for it to come back).

There are a few options from Hori - http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-dd-49-en.html - which are all based on the same design, apart from the recently released HRAP EX which is a high quality stick which is already rare as hen's teeth.

If you get something like the DOA or SCIV stick they do a decent job out of the box, but the option is there to do some modding and jam sanwa parts in there to bring it more up to scratch.

I'll prob just settle for the standard one though.

I've had to use the Hori EX2 at a SCIV tourney. I'm used to my full sanwa sticks and chinatown arcade and I found it pretty decent to use.

btw, the stick has been good to me. Although it's still in Canberra. Will bring it up to Cairns soon.

I know there's better sticks out there, but it sure beats a controller.

I wish they still made sticks like those yellow Namco PS2 ones. Cheap, sturdy and small. I love HRAPs but I'm sick of lugging the things around. :(
