I thought I read that Europe/Australia would have it a couple weeks after the main releases, but I can't kind any release date links anymore.

Surely pretty soon.

Play-Asia may be a better option than PSN.

Have you herd of CORE? is a subscription much like Live Gold but the PS3's version of it. Demos that have a price mean that its free for the CORE users becuase of the monthly fee but costs us for not using the CORE service. Just a heads up or info if you did not know :)

Anyone else playing the full game?

I'm currently up to Episode 3 Chapter 2 where you play Bella the 10yr girl, as she tries to escape from the Shibito (undead) infested hospital. The fact that she has no combat abilities whatsoever adds immensely to the sense of urgency in this part of the game. I dont know whether I'm so anxious whilst playing because she's a little girl in this hellish environment, or if I'm worried that I'll scream like a little girl when the next Shibito finds me and I cant find a cupboard to hide in.

I must admit I do like the way the game isn't totally reliant on combat as well. I reckon I've avoided as many Shibito as I've killed up to this point (when playing as other characters of course). Still early days yet though, but I did laugh with satisfaction when I used a frying pan to beat the Antichrist out one undead bastard from behind in an earlier part of the game.

Anyway, I'm going crack on and keep playing until I get Bella out of the hospital. Poor thing, I hate it when she screams.

I hear it gets a whole lot worse in the later stages of the game too...

Edit: It's on Aus PSN now too. I got the disc version from play-asia as I didnt want to give up 10gb, but I discovered that the disc still requires a 5gb install to play. Cost me just short of $59 including shipping using a coupon, so an extra $10 over the PSN's $49 full game offering. If you dont care about discs then, I'd recommend the PSN version as you can download it to the same PS3 as many times as you like anyway.

How many hours of play do you reckon are in the full game SavageD .

I read somewhere there was about 12hrs if you just run through, 16hrs worth of play if you take your time. Longer if you're easily scared and need to hide a lot I suppose :)

I'm up to Episode 5 now, after a possibly-poorly guesstimated 6hrs of on-an-off play, so I think the estimate's are about right. I tend to take longer than average though, as I like to explore. That said, there were one or two times when I just pissed off after being startled by one of those damn Shibito and didnt have a proper weapon available. The thumping heartbeat as they get near is really offputting.

I knew it wasnt going to be marathon gaming though, but figured it was worth a shot as I do like the ol' survival horror.

As a game, the episodic method totally works. Jumping from one character's story to another when you complete a stage means you never really have time to get bored, or feel 'safe'.

This is the 'trailer' vid for someone's video walkthrough of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoeZxTqV-TM
It automatically goes on to the first episode's walkthrough, then the second's and so on. Despite being a trailer, it does contain minor spoilers and does give away what one of the monsters looks toward it's end, so take that into account if you have a look.

[Tiny spoiler below]
Time 00:20 in that vid I linked to shows a brief part of Bella in the hospital. That was a tense level - I mean having a defenceless 10yr old girl being hunted by undead freaks is disturbing in itself. It's worse when she used to know one of them...

Thanks SavageD I am tempted even though its a bit short, But at 49 bucks its not like 100 bucks for a 15 hour game.
Do you think there any replay value in it, like can things be done different on another run through.

yeah, there is some replay. The are these 'story' elements in the archive that get unlocked as you progress, but there are others that are only unlocked after performing certain actions. For example in the first level, I replayed it and decided to attack the dude with the sake bottle. That unlocked the third element in the archive. At the moment I've got quite a few gaps in the archive.

As far as I can tell the game is pretty linear though, so there would only be limited scope to complete it in a different way than you had before. The main thing is that although your'e largely free to tackle the level as you see fit, the order of the objectives won't change.

That said, you could certainly choose to be more or less stealthy in your aproach to the game on a second run through. I find it's so much more satisfying when you sneak and hide than when you run up to a Shibito and blast him in the face with a gun for example. Then again, it also makes me feel pretty good if I've been cowering in a cupboard for the last 10 minutes :)

Edit: One thing to add is that while there's always the option of confrontation, there's also often the possibility of taking another approach such as distraction by yelling or some other means to avoid a fight.

Man, even while sitting at the XMB menu before loading the actual game, it freaked me out. It plays this audio track that i can only describe as 'worrying'. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be singing, lauging or crying.

I tells ya, the audio in this game plays a HUGE part in making you feel unsettled.
