Another weekend deal.

The super pack with everything id made up to Doom3: Ressurection of Evil is only US$35. Very tempting...

Pity I own most of it already :P

I think I don't own some of the Quake expansions and the Doom 3 Expansion... but I own everything else already.

Otherwise I'd be right in there. $35-$40 for just Doom 3 + Expansion is an OKish deal.

Oh my God... All those items for $34.99 ??

Holy shit that's awesome!

I have one question, though, hopefully one of you can help me out, if I have the install of certain games like doom 3 and quake 4, can I use that instead of the crumby CGFs and looong downloads?

Cheers

Fairly sure if you install them to steam/steamapps/common you can.

I probably would have grabbed ET:QW as well, if "all id Software products" included it.

Well Quake 4 isn't in that package, but yeah if the steam version uses the same file structure as the retail disk versions than that should work. Some games are different for the steam versions though, especially old games or valve products.

Steam + my debit card is making it way too easy to buy games. Stalker:Clear Sky can be pre-ordered for just US$36. My only gripe is you can't put multiple purchases together into one transaction on the steam system.

If they don't charge for delivery, the only prob is it can take longer to order, no? =P

And some banks charge a foreign currency transaction fee. Mine is based on a percentage of the total charge so it's no big deal for me, but might be different for other banks. Also some may prefer to have one transaction on their bill rather than say five.

Again - neither concern me. :)

Yeah exactly what confined said and taking longer to order too. :P

Mine currency exchange fee is percentage based as well so it don't bother me that much. Just think the system would be slicker with a shopping cart approach rather than having me reenter the credit card details over and over.

I have most of it, but was thinking of getting the quake pack so i could get Team Arena... but that would mean I would have 3 copies of quake1, 3 copies of Q2(2x exp packs), 2 copies of Q3.... so I don't think I should...

If you're with Bigpond or Internode you can filter the connections so it gets it from unmetered servers. See here:

For other ISPs you can try manually configuring the list in Steamwatch or PeerGuardian, or there may be an easily solution like Steamwatch available - I just haven't seen anything for other ISPs.
