About the Atomic article Brothers in Arms: Hellís Highway

http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/article.asp?CIID=121664

War is all hell. And, David Hollingworth discovers, all flashbacks.

What do you think?

That freshness is even, well, fresher in Hell’s Highway, which just makes the soap operatic stylings of the linking plot that much more intrusive.

So the next one will be: Brothers In Arms :D-Days Of Our Lives:

I think i will be checking this out. I really did enjoy the first BiA, finding it a real challenge in parts. And I do like the fact that they are trying to do something diifferent with the FPS model. Even better when that 'something different' often works sublimely well. i do thinik that many traditional fps fans just didnt get BiA when it came out and I recall the post after post by disgruntled playersn claiming the game was too difficult and that it ws impossible hit anything with the weapons and so forth. personally i found the shooting a great deviation from the normal point and shoot. You had to think about shots in BiA. It was all about shot placement, not spray and pray. And often you would miss. Far from frustrating I found it very realistic and immersive.

7 out of 10 though? Is a FPS with a story neccesarily a bad thing?

Market Garden was September 1944. September 1945 was when the war ended.

lol at that jedi

I personally don't see why this game is criticized for humanizing the characters in the game, after all humans are not machines that feel no emotions and have no remorse (cue terminator) people who see the atrocities of war are never the same and i think good on the game devs for trying to portray this in the game as the last thing i want to play is another ww2 shooter where you just mow down 100's of germans and nothing ever comes of it.
