Okay, hold on now. See, you're telling me that you put these little guys in boiling water and they shriek and they turn red and they die. That is the most metal thing I ever heard in my whole life. High five.

How does PREVENTING YOUR OS FROM BOOTING make it past testing?

Australia is not special because some doofus cartographer decided that "continent" sounds better than "huge fucking island".

Yeah thats kind of a big one but there is no need to reboot after installing Trinity. No prompt asking you to reboot so i can see how the Q/A guys would have missed it.

Running XP Pro and mine still seems to be intact.

I uninstalled the old version and reinstalled with the Premium full client.

Seems its the update not the full install that screws the pooch. It stuns me how a screw up this major happened.

A few people have discovered that it may due to installing on the same partition as the boot partition, anyone experience this with those factors?

Just took the chance and rebooted. Still here :)

I've got my windows on C:, and Eve on a completely separate harddrive partition.

Sadly that is what we have turned our children into. They expect the world to genuflect at their feet. All the pandering to mediocrity from the early years, telling them that they are smart and pretty and special. -plebsmacker

let this be a lesson, make a system partition and install your games to a DIFFERENT partition. not only will it be less fragmented, but if something stupid like this comes along it wont bone your system.

Invicta: Eve has a premium content pack, that can be used if your system supports it (which most will) as part of the Trinity expansion, released yesterday.

However you're better off downloading the full new client, no problems with boot.ini if you're running Eve of the same partition as boot.
