MSY - Reported Attack Site?

who wants customer service? I don't go to a computer shop to make friends/talk shit with some kid/salesman who don't know shit anyway - I know what I want to buy well before I even enter the shop - the only thing that shits me is the queue!
personally, I have found them great to do business with - what other shop will give you a replacement HDD out of stock? what other shop has stuff back from being RMA'd within 2 weeks? where else can you save approx. 33% as well?
the only annoyance (apart from the queue) is that they don't always have what I want, but, they're improving - they even have LianLi cases at the Ultimo store, woohoo!
I try and buy all my hardware there.

I want customer service in case I have a problem with a purchase etc. and it always helps if the staff are friendly.

Though many people complain about MSY having the worst customer service, in my experience its been fine for me. (yes im kinda contradicting the post i made on the last page, more referring to the majority of people i speak to)

I'm not interested in matrimony, I only want to buy computer bits.

MSY is like the Soup Nazi of the PC world.

You're expected to know what you want and to not ask lots of questions when you go in there. They're there to sell you bits, and that's about it.

I've been there, seen the person in front of me go up to the cuonter to be served, ask for a specific 22" LCD monitor, get told the price, have the cashier go grab the monitor, sit it down, take the cash, hand over change and a receipt and customer walks out 45 seconds later with a snazzy monitor.

That's how the operate. If you want to shop around and ask questions, go to another computer store and inspect, quiz and tinker. (And then go to MSY when you've decided and buy it cheaper. :))

Different stores have different staff.

In VIC, the Oak Park store has the WORST customer service. I mean they are just rude. I can understand brisk business as eckythump has outlined above but this goes to a whole new level. They don't make eye contact. They don't talk to you. Instead of "next please" or "can I help you" it's, and I quote, "what do you want".

Then there is the store in Brooklyn VIC. There are two guys there and both are ok. They are friendly enough although transactions work the same way as described by eckythump although I have managed to get a laugh out of them on occassion. I guess it's a slower moving store (sometimes) which helps.

The Brooklyn store is awesome. Dominic (the guy with the deep voice) is really friendly.

And yes who cares about bloody customer service? Do your research before you buy. It's get in, get what you need and get out. Don't hang around and invite people for bloody cups of tea.

But yeah who cares about customer service when you can have cheap prices?

MSY FTW :D
