pccasegear - 9/10 - good service, good communication, fast product dispatch, excellent range. Prices aren't the most competitive but for some products a few extra $$ is worth the service.

macotechnology - 10/10 - excellent service, very competitive pricing, FREE delivery if you are in the Sydney area and order 3 items or more. I hadn't used them before now and have decided that I would go here if possible. I ordered items yesterday and they arrived today, very impressed.

scorptec - 8/10 - good service, pricing is either on sale and excellent value or too high. For the former then this is the place to be :D

Ordered a Auzentech X-Fi Prelude from them on 8/1/08 at 3pm, and paid. Recieved 3% discount for paying direct deposit, no extra charge for those using credit cards. Wound up costing me $30 less than the next best competitor, including delivery. Received the card this morning, at 7AM.

Prompt, polite responses to emails, would definitely use again.

Should update the list by taking Nintek out of it since they have shot through like a bondi tram!

Would have given them 10 but it was a once off purchase.

Initially the stock ran out, so they had it shipped direct from the distributor but I was kept up to date with everything.

The 1 is for the price.

Originally the orders for that day the item was purchased were 'lost' and they had to reload everything before things could be despatched. Then they said it would arrive last week, then I got an automatic email stating it had only been despatched on Friday (last week), over a week since the original order.

To top this they don't answer emails or phone calls.

I wouldn't recommend these people at all.

9/10 for Umart in the last 12 months for my self and on behalf of my clients I have spent over $6,000.00.

Have only had to return one stick of ram in the last 12 months, which was replaced immediately.

So I rate the service as very good to excellent.

I give them a 9 and not a 10 because they sometimes take a long time to get new stock in, IE: several days which for my clients is not good, but I work around it.

EDIT: I notice Shikimaru has not updated this thread since April 2007 is he still around ?

www.pccasegear.com.au 1/10: to all those rating them so high just because they had something and send it fast etc etc... wait until you try to return it.. the guy was very rude to me, they charge a huge fee for returning + postage... Stay away.

4/10 www.onlinevip.com.au
robbed again, at least they were polite about it...
"Manufacturer or supplier will not be responsible for physical demage. For us, it is very hard to prove the damage is caused in factory. Normally in this case, warranty will be rejected."
What a joke!

Also they list item as in stock when they are not to get more sales.

You can't go wrong with Techbuy. Before Nintek went down and took my money with them, I made an order with them, after months of getting nothing and hearing nothing, I looked elsewhere. I found Techbuy, I saw that they had decent enough prices and all the goods I wanted, so I made an order with them and cancelled the one with nintek, I asked for my money back, but got nothing. $997.95. After contacting the liquidator he informed that there is no chance of any real return, so I cut my losses. I contacted Techbuy and told them that I had to cancel and I told them why, they offered me a discount and said they would send it free of freight, but still didn't have enough money, so they said come back when your ready and we will help you out. I saved up more money in time, got back to them they did a discount on all parts and shipped it free of freight for me... I now have a good computer because of their generosity. 15/10 I give them.. :)

Fair enough, and I've had a look but....

I am also finding it hard to find the best PC shop with fast delivery/Best prices/Good website layout/service/huge selection and the best PC shop in QLD or all over this country.

Please what one out of this list is the best, as for the reasons above. thanks

You will never find one with all of that.
Cheapest prices generally means you get less in other areas such as customer service.
More expensive prices means quicker delivery.
(These are just examples)

You need to decide what you want out of them.
