9300 looks a like super budget card for watching videos and DVDs - with DX10 support. For that kinda purpose, it's fine but don't go expecting to run Crysis. You should be able to run WoW on the card too.

Yeah, like Jerusalem said it's going to be good enough for movies and older games. So BF2, CSS and HL2 will all work fine, as well as some newer ones at lower settings.

Though I can't vouch for Medion as a brand.

Well, in terms of performance, I would say that the graphics will perform about the same as the desktop 8500GT probably. I've looked at the specs and it's similar to the 8500GT.

And don't turn over that it's a budget card. It can play some games rather well or enough with some compromise.

Quoting from the site:
NVIDIA’s latest addition to the mobile graphics market doesn’t offer up much new in terms of hardware performance its 8000M series brethren. In fact, hardware wise the 9500M GS and 9300M G are exactly the same as the 8600M GT and 8400M GS, respectively.

Thanks folks.
Roughly what I expected it would be but would anyone know how it compares against the ATI radeon 9600M? Testscorewise rather than component specs?

O.K., managed to get off my bum and look up some stuff, especially thanks to Jack G.
Couldn't find exactly the comparisons I was after but on spec the GeForce9300M should do better than the ATI9600 I have. The directX10 as opposed to 9 shouldn't hurt either. Still low range stuff but it is definetly a low range price.
Thanks again people.

I know it's a laptop with integrated graphics, but if you pick up the latest Atomic magazine #92 you'll see two motherboards for PC with integrated graphics. Now I'm not trying to mislead you as a PC has alot more resources to through around, but it's something to mull over.

One is an Asrock Intel MB with a Geforce 8200 GPU and the other is a Gigabyte AMD MB with a ATI 3300 GPU.
They bother played Crysis in very low resolution in DX10.

The 9500M GS is compared to the 8600GT card in the URL I posted.
In the magizine a 8500GT scored Avg 55.21, Min 34.4 and Max 61.1 in Crysis @ 1024x768, so, possibly, this is a really out there comparison I'd presume the 9500M GS would get similar results.
The 9300M G would probably get about 10% less as well.

The 9300M G in your first post has 128MB RAM, the link I posted shows the chip 'offically' with 256MB. What you don't know though is what type of DDR it is.

I doubt it's fast enough to actually make use of DX10 though.

Just so you know ;)
