lol no offense man but there are quite a few of us with SLi GTX (surprisingly) but we appreciate the stuff you do here, so no worries. In any case I broke 15k the other day, headed for 16k ASAP in 3d'06. Once the watercooled GTX's get going then we'll really be in business :D

Well, I've done some tweaking on mine..

Got a higher score, but won't post as there's no need just yet.. I'll keep it in reserve.. ;)

I reckon a bit more headroom still to go and I might even get in top 5 on OCAU.

:)

You seem to be at similar clocks to me.

I have put 1.7v through my cpu.. Tis the max the board will put out sadly. I got to 3.9ghz and ran superpi. Ended up with 12.985 1m score which is pretty good, but certainly wasn't stable.

I can't seem toget stable much higher than 3.6ghz. Even at 3.6, I gotta put 1.535 vcore into it which reads about 1.49/1.5. At 3.5ghz, I gotta put 1.5 into it which reads 1.44.

Not the best clocker out there, but certainly better than stock! :)

With the video card overclocking... I am overclocking mine to 650/1566/1000. (middle is shader clock) I have run 675/1100 before on stock shader clock, but this new setup gave me the best results. I went from a 675/1100 3dmark of 12,453 to 650/1000 with adjusted shader to 3dmark 12,800.

I'm now lowering my ram timings as much as i can. Currently 4-4-4-12 stock, am at 4-4-4-8 at the moment. Stressed it last night for 10 hours. Haven't run any benches yet, but it won't make much, if any difference I feel.

Either way, it's still a good box..

:)

Hey Phiber, quick update.
Lowered the multiplier to 8, upped the fsb to 450 (hence 3.6 ghz)
vCore @ 1.535, GPU's still at stock (they don't like being overclocked yet, I think it's due to the 85 degree running temps)
Ram is @ 850MHz, 5-5-5-15, 2.1V (simple for now)
Gotta run some more stability tests, but initial 3dmark:

Shit dude,

You should get 16k easily with just overclocking video on air. Though, it depends on what the cards overclock like too... I've been blessed with a good card, while a mate has a shit one. Both average cpu's though.

Is 5-5-5-15 the stock timings for your ram ? I'd try for cas4 for a start. Then see if you can get the 15 down to 12...

:)

i wasn't gunna push the ram at that moment but im gunna have a go now
i dont think my gpu's are brilliant overclockers, also since there are two of them with an xfi sandwiched between them then you can see why the heat problems arise (hence the impending waterblocks)
i am, however, looking forward to hitting that magical 16k mark.
also i will get a single card score when i can get nvidia control centre to open for me (atm it's not happy: the temp monitor is fine but the control centre wont open so i cant turn of SLi... I CANT STOP THE POWER!:P)
any ideas?

[edit] oh, and thnks PCfreak for adding in SLi, I'll ese if I can round up some of the other SLiGTX boys (like my improvement from 11000 to 15600? :D)

those results are strange, the SM2/3 scores are very different to the ATI ones.

Have a looksy
E6600@3500Mhz, HD2900XT@860/1000
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y214/atomicmorgoth2/3dmark06-12200.jpg
3dmark score - 12208
SM2 - 5253
SM3 - 5694

What does this show? Is it the superior shader performance of the HD2900 being the reason for the higher SM3 score, and the 8800's speed that gives better SM2 than the HD2900?
Is this an architecture difference?

Interesting thats all

I was reading somewhere that if ATI used GDDR4 instead the performance of these cards would way more impressive :)

I think youve also proved that theres way more head room in these cards that ATI havnt tapped yet morgy. Should be interesting if they produce a HD2900XTX
