wPrime Multithreaded Benchmark

Ok I've been working on a multithreaded benchmarking test and I've got a model working.

It should, under normal circumstances utilize 100% of all your CPU cores making it useful for stress testing as well.

The technicalities if you're interested:

Basically it uses a recursive call of Newton's method until Sgn(f(estimation)/f'(estimation)) does not equal that from the previous estimation where f(x)=x^2-i where i is the number we're rooting, then uses an iterative call 16 times for accuracy, for estimating square roots from 0 to n (where n is the 2^(n+7) of the test number).

The initial estimation is i/2, if the function doesn't converge on a solution it'll spout an error, if the square of the result doesn't equal i then it'll also spout an error. If any mathematically minded people out there can think of any other error checking things it'll be greatly appreciated.

Hmm seemed to complete on mine - the last test uses alot of memory and between the time the last thread completes and the process completes it clears it's buffer of results. If it's forced to use virtual memory then this'll be really slow. Likewise at initialization it creates the space to store the results - so that'll take time too.

You take the process complete time (which is the one you took) - after each thread is complete there's a quick memory blt test. Nice score there. :)

The only language that works on unix systems I know well enough to thread with is Java, and that doesn't thread well (I seem to max at about 70-80% usage on it).

Sometime I'll turn all my shit off a tighten the little delicate RAM timings and overclock a little more 1:1 and see how I go.
