Guru

Carrying on from the great work done by morgoth and Chipped here:
http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=6&t=8599&p=0

Now updated and ready to roll.

Here we have the new revised format for the SuperPI scores.
You will notice it is similar to the benchmark thread, that is because it is a better format in the first place.
I've put alot of time into this thread so please submit results in the correct format, that would be great :D

Now includes 32M calculations!

Important Notes!! Be sure to read
- Be sure to enter in correct iterations (1M or 32M)
- SuperPi window showing with calculations complete
- CPU-Z window showing processor stats
- One entry per person per category
- No longer Accepting PI versions that do NOT have millisecond output
- You Must use the SuperPI Mod 1.5 http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/
- Include CPU Details in post
- Entries MUST follow the following format, also using the M:S:Mil time format like this score I’m using as an example which is 38.891 seconds:

1M, Athlon XP
00:38:891 morgoth http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y214/atomicmorgoth2/pi1m38s.jpg

It's YOUR responsibility to put in the right format remember!

Tips for PiSters:

- this benchmark loves fast memory with tight timings. Tweaking up the memory a bit will give better results than bumping the CPU up by 60 MHz just about every time.

- use PowerMenu or similar to give SuperPi a priority boost. Above Normal should be sufficient to shave a few fractions of a second off the final result.

- turning off the uPNP service can shave a few more fracs off. Turn off Indexing Service too.

- kill every unnecessary process. Disconnect from the 'net while running the bench.

- a flaky memory overclock will cause an error. Reset the memory to a previously known stable config and exit/restart SuperPi. For some reason, errors will often persist once you've restabilized the system.

- have CPUz running and minimized while benching if you're not confident of being able to start it while the system is massively overclocked.

Great stuff.

Just want to point out that wwwww's 32M score should be ranked 4th. Both in the top 10 and in the Intel C2D 32M category.

Edit - Also looks like I should have the fastest 32M score :p

Updated.

Thanks mark84, all those are fixed now, I don't know what happened there.

RenascentMisanthropy: looks like you want to be much much closer to 4GHz than 3GHz to have any chance at the top 5 :S

There is 7% difference between 1st and 5th in the 1M stakes. Still waiting for an Atomican to break the 10 second mark* :)

Also, all the times that have 00:seconds:XX should be removed as that means they are NOT using super pi mod 1.5 OR a version that shows MS. As per the rules.
