G'day,

When videos are viewed on YouTube there is a link under each vid with " watch in high quality" , what is required to "remove" the "watch in low quality" option?

Also is it best to convert the Raw vid files ( around 800Mb uncompressed) to .FLV prior to uploading ?

I would also like to know about the HQ thing. And I think I would recode it into something under 100mb, but not into FLV already, because when you watch a vid in HQ it's actually in MPEG4, as far as I can remember.

I would like to know what format to use for when publishing my movie so it looks great on youtube without hitting HQ.

When I upload videos to youtube I generally google to find out which resolution is the best (I always forget) and then do MPEG4 at that res, ~1000kb/s and 256kbit/s mono MP3 audio.

[edit]: Just checked out the HQ link for a video I did using this method a few months back, it was pretty awesome :P

Rob.
