i have been playing around with this code for a little bit now but cant work out why it will work in IE but not firefox.

the website is http://warrenvineyard.com.au/

the code for my template is the following

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<html>
<head>
<?php defined( '_VALID_MOS' ) or die( 'Direct Access to this location is not allowed.' );
// needed to seperate the ISO number from the language file constant _ISO
$iso = split( '=', _ISO );
// xml prolog
echo '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="'. $iso[1] .'"?' .'>';
?>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type"
content="text/html; <?php echo _ISO; ?>">
<link
href="<?php echo $mosConfig_live_site;?>/templates/Shane_Smith/css/template_css.css"
rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

um, not sure about most of that, smithy, it's pretty much all out of my league.
however, a couple of wee hiccups jumped out at me-
line 18 should probably be: <script type="text/javascript" src="iefix.js"></script>
and you also have 2 divs with the same id (foot), which is a no-no.

after that, i dunno...

edit- just curious, too... what's with all the "<big><big><big><big><big>" stuff for the main heading? wouldn't it be better to simply specify a font size?

Please use code tags, makes it a lot easier to read as it preserves the formatting >_>
edit:
Checked using opera (eg: Acid 2 standards compliant browser which is what FF 3 will be) Looks like there's a little problem with the bottom and the padding.

edit2: No... you've still got that in FF 2.1 too. Was it intentional?

There's a lot of weird shit in your code I don't understand the purpose of :S

You've got a few divs and a flash to display. Your code on the other hand has double the amount of divs, the flash, a random table and a heap of disgusting shit that you don't need.

:S

I know programs such as NVU usually cause it.

Did you know Netscape and SeaMonkey browsers have a "DOM INSPECTOR".

You have two end /center tags landing on each other [not well formed].

Uh yeah.....
On old browsers that almost noone uses...........
The only concern I can see is that IE6 isn't liking the flash.

Did you actually code the site yourself?

Then why the hell do you have so much stuff there that's not relevant?

Your first step of troubleshooting (or perhaps one of the steps of making a webpage) is getting your code down to only what you need.

Do that, then start taking out bits and changing bits and see where it breaks.
