Ok I know a reasonable amount on this subject but I'm wondering if anyone out there has absolute premium experience on dedicated software?

I am working with sustainable technology's in domestic construction and need a program that can model light and shadows with real life light globes etc and track the sun in melbourne 365 days a year. Like this thing:

woah.
i dunno much of that stuff.
but autocad has sunlight systems that create light based on geographical systems and times.

3ds max also. and it has photometric lighting, which you can load in profiles for real life bulbs.
i dont have any sort of references regarding its accuracy though

Thanks shoes. I knew about the systems in CAD and max but didn't realise that max actually a provision for real life bulbs. My aim is to actually measure the maximum power of the sun in and around the home, which should aid in design photovoltaic, hydronic setups etc. Thanks for the reply.
