I have found these tools work a treat and are safe to use. There are others that people here also use, and I am sure they will recommend them.

So you will have a good choice of tools to use, but these tools are what I use.

Also if you are not already using it then I suggest running spybot first as well.

Super Anti Spyware and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware are better than Spy-Bot and Ad-Aware these days.

Well I gave Super Anti Spyware a try and it scanned as fast as spybot, used a bit more memory I thought, and the scan also found nothing, (not surprising as the system is kept pretty clean).

So I ran spybot it found some tracking cookies (not really important I know) but at least it found them.

So for me I would say either would do the job but IMHO spybot still has the edge.

Will try malwarebyte's software another time on a clients machine that really needs a clean, then run spybot to see what happens.

Try running Spy-bot first then see what it missed with Malwarebytes or Super.

Ok I have a machine coming in this week so will give it a try, I am always on the lookout for a more efficient program in this area.

Will report back when I have the results. :)
