Google Desktop and backspace, home/end, shift and arrow keys not working.

I use Google Desktop in sidebar mode for plugins like dictionary, task managers, wikipedia and handy stuff.

But for the love of good, all of the alphabetical keys work (so you can type in "aples" in somewhere) but backspace, home/end, shift+'key' and arrow keys do not! (so to fix the typing error in "aples", I have to use the mouse cursor to select then press the delete key - thank god that key works, of all things)

Would could possibly be the reason for this?

I'm running Window XP on a Dell Vostro 1400 laptop.

Update: I found that the problem outlined in the OP was caused by having some particularly gadgets installed.

So far the problematic gadgets for me have been Google Calender and 'Dictionary from Dictionary.com'. Uninstalled them and full keyboard functionality is returned :/

The only google software I use is Picasa for storing my photos on line as it's a free service.

Bowiee,

Actually, all google software is free, just so you know.

Part of the inhumanity of the computer is that, once it is competently programmed and working smoothly, it is completely honest.
