Auslogics for sure it's free, fast and works a treat. :)

Edit: This should probably be in software.

I use auslogics, it works just fine for me.

I use it every month or so, and it works. Plus you can't beat the cost.

I just use defraggler if I need to.

http://www.defraggler.com/

I have a strong dislike for defrag programs that monitor the HDD. In all honesty they have an overall negative impact.

True, luckily Auslogics doesnt monitor the HD's - i have to agree, monitoring only loads the system up more, i dont understand why they would keep pushing products like that??

A bit of a heads up as well guys, Auslogics released a Registry Defrag about a month ago : http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/registry-defrag

Looks good enough to use, free and worked on my rig (which is very, very twitchy) without a problem.

I bought PerfectDisk Workstation. It's very comprehensive, reminds me of Norton SpeeDisk from the old days, and how much better than MS Defrag from DOS 6.2 it was.

I use JKDefrag.
Most defaggers use the Windows API, so I prefer one that weighs in at a minute size and does the job just like all the fatter ones :)

I use contig its a command line interface tool to defrag your hard drive. Its tiny but it has no visual elements. :)

Just wondering, but what filesystem are you all running that you all feel yoy have to regularly fragment? Something without NTFS?

Part of the inhumanity of the computer is that, once it is competently programmed and working smoothly, it is completely honest.

O&O is OK, though I'm not sure how much validity their different download methods have.

UltimateDefrag gets some quite gewd reviews, also.

EDIT - Dodge grammar.
