Freeware PC Software

A PC is only as good as its software. There is no point getting the latest hardware if you have nothing to run on it! Software packages can cost quite a bit, and this may result in people downloading pirated goods. The solution? Freeware.

I personally hate the act of piracy, so I've decided to create this thread to deter anyone from having to go down that path. :D

This thread will be updated regularly just as my other freeware thread ( http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=20&t=1134 ). If you have any suggestions, don't be shy to post them here. :)

Since I don't own a Mac (and don't intend to), I will need suggestions from people who do. And yes, I know Macs are technically NOT PCs, but IMO they still Personal Computers.

Cheers Sneddo for the great resource!

http://oldversion.com/

You can grab the very excellent and very free winRAR 3.51 from here, but there are lots of other excellent 'old versions' of programs here too, (such as the non-bloated 2.81 version of winamp). A top website.

Tremendous free firewall (I see the link in your list too .:Cyb3rGlitch:. , but just thought I'd chuck this in anyway).
