Anyone here with the newer ASUS notebooks?

I just want to know if they fixed the issue with older ones where the hinges become loose and wobbly. My ASUS A8Jp seems to have the same wobbly hingles plaguing the A8 series. If not, I'll have look to another brand of laptop for my next purchase.

Well, I have the Asus M50VC which is probably the newest laptop where I work.

What sort of things you want to know about?

The older ones had an issue where the lid hinge just gets very loose over time (due to crappy way it was secured). My A8Jp hinge is extremely wobbly compared to what it used to be when it was new. It's now got a silly 20 degree flex in the hinge.

I don't know if they fixed it. From what I remember, the hinges are a lot sturdier than the previous ones as compared to the newer M50/M70 series. But don't take my word for it as I haven't gotten this laptop for long...
