The iPhone is equipped with a possible application 'blacklist' which could allow Apple to remotely remove certain applications, claims one researcher..

Yo, iPhone owners! Anyone finding apps going "missing"?

"a $999 vanity application that did little beyond placing a glowing gem on the user's screen."....& why would anyone want that?

I don't think i'd have any interest in jailbreaking my iphone (if I had one) anyway - haven't heard of any 3rd party apps that are worth risking fudging up the iphone & that would have any usability beyond their initial "wow" stages.

Have the jailbreakers here found any "essential" 3rd party apps yet, that they "need" on a frequent basis?

lol, still, the point was that my impression of a majority of these 3rd party apps are fad-like, & that Bling background app was a good example of what I meant.
