Virgin and Three Iphone plans

Although they are a little late to the party, Virgin and Three have just announced iphone deals. Ive been waiting for these guys to make a showing, because the others deals have been pretty shite so far.

Heres the good bits from the news.com.au article:

Virgin Mobile, wholly owned by Optus, is making the 8GB iPhone available on a $70 per month plan which will include 1GB of data, according to information posted on the company's website today.
Virgin will also offer the 16GB iPhone for $100 a month with a download allowance of 5GB, the highest data limit in Australia.

Hutchison, which provides mobile services under the 3 brand, isn't selling the iPhone but announced yesterday it would offer SIM card and data kits for those who buy the handset elsewhere.

Hutchison will offer $350 of calls and 1GB of data on a $49 cap plan and $650 of calls and 2GB of data on a $69 plan.

All steps in the right direction! IMHO, the best of those are the 3 1GB/$49 for average joes and the virgin 5gb/$100 for crazy net kids.

A little disapointed Three doesent have any proper iphone plans... i bet they're still trying to do a Three branded iphone(no chance of that happening!)

Looks like Tel$tra, Optus and Vodafone tied up iPhone supply with the fruity people.

Funniest part about the Virgin ones, is that the carrier logo shown is the optus one :P

Just stumbled across something on Three's site.

Seems as though they're trying to draw the iPhone crowd over to three if they have an unlocked one. Not a bad idea, if you can't beat 'em...

Check it. $49 cap plan, seems to be the same as usual, but with no phone. 1Gb of included data! That's more than enough for what I use, and the $49 cap is perfect for me!

They've got a $69 cap plan, which is beastly, and it has 2gb of data on top of it.

Now, downsides. Seems as though you don't get a phone, but for those of us who already have one, or like to buy outright, we're in luck!

I'm thinking, $49 cap + 1gb data. That's just an outright $49 per month bill. Add a $400 LG KS20 [sexy piece of kit!], and viola, we're in business.

So, for inferior phones, you can often pay $20 per month for the phone, over 24 months. This is a much better option, and you can always get a new phone along the way.

Just thought I'd bring it to your attention. Come on my 18th birthday!

Copy-pasta'd 'cause Dave is lame. 'least mine has links, bitch.
