What sort of phone?

Does it support MP3?

Audacity + LAME (to export to MP3) you usually don't need stereo and you can boost the volume so it is louder, you can spend hours fine tuning.

FlexiMusic Audio Editor ended up working for me well. After I got used how to use it, it was a breeze and making ringtones has been a snap. Found it here, http://www.fleximusic.com/

I really need to get the effort together to convert some mp3's, I'm still using the default nokia tune.

Yeah, I gotta get round to making some more too, getting them just right is so time consuming.

I like making them so they form a perfect loop, slice milliseconds off the ends until it's just right, by the time I've done that I've heard it so many times I don't want it anymore.
