The complete At0mic DVD writer comparison

There is no reason to bin it Radius - having said that, within the next fw generation of the DVR-109, most have confidence that Pioneer will bridge the slight gap between the 108-109's write quality and strategy selection....

Also - notice the DVR-109 is a SMALLER drive physically? Have to keep in mind, its ALL NEW hardware on the inside. Nothing is the same.

For what it's worth - Piodata have already produced a firmware for their OEM version of the drive. It automatically bitsets DVD+R --> DVD-ROM. When will we see it? That is anyone's guess.

I added some comments to the Pioneer section, inline with your suggestions Radius. Thanks for that!

My point was more to do with the possible future development of DVRFlash to make it compatible with the 109 to enable us to use something like a "Gradius Piodata" firmware in the Pioneer.

Unless they re-sticky Nikon's MID thread you may want to consider linking to it in your first post so that it is not lost.

Don't suppose you'd like to share any differences between the A09 and the 109 if you have the time?

I have a Pioneer...108

It's done a few (3) half coasters of audio CD's at 48x, where the last songs decided not to join in.

I use 32x for cds now.

Aside from that it's great, no problems with DVD's besides human error :)

I'll be checking this thread again 'bout them there betterer flashes.

Awesome thread dude.
An Invaluable resource, & exactly what these Forums needed to alleviate some of the most repeated questions ever.

I actually came to the forums today specifically to find out how the Pioneer 109 was standing up against the 108. This was the 1st thread I looked in, & found my answers in the opening post ! What Service !

Cheers Zebra & thanks.
