Boards with 3 PCI-E SLOTS

Hey

I wanting to put 3x 7200gs in a motherboard to cheaply run 3 moniter's. Firstly do you guys no of any cheap but not crappy boards. Secondly will this actually work.

And yeah, it will work. Just adequate for desktop use, no gaming at all though.

You don't need 3 graphics cards to run 3 monitors.

Any graphics card capable of dual output will certainly do the job of two cards. As such any mother board with 2 x PCI-E graphics card slots would suffice.

yeh i was just thinking that the extra price you pay for 3 slots could be worse off then 2 more expense dual output cards and a normal mobo

Also, if you don't want to send the money on a new board, I believe albatron recently released PCI version of the 8500, 8600GT and 8600GTS -- yes that's right, PCI, not PCI E -- and so you wouldn't have to use up your PCI E slots for little cards, and you could actually put one moderately powerful card in the PCI E bus, and then one PCI cheapo in -- just incase you ever feel that need for a game eh? ;-)

I got an xbox360 for gaming. But arnt most pci cards more expensive then low end pci-e cards?

yeh but i want 2 dvi ports and a card thats under $50 so i thinking 7600gt
