Cpt. Lock thinks:

Harsh review is harsh but when a budget board comes out that's what it is. If it means a price drop in X48 and cheaper dual PCI-E 16x motherboards for intel crossfire then I'm all for it

About the Atomic article Asrock X48TurboTwins-WiFi

Asrock manages to scare Josh Collins, but for all the wrong reasons.

What do you think?

Absolute Rubbish!

Although perhaps they have another BIOS in the works, and this is all they have for now. And what a totally gay placing of the ATX 24-pin connection.

*pats his ASUS P5N-MX, running 4GB ram, 1x 300GB drive, 2xWD 640GB RAID0, 1x PIONEER DVD burner, 1x GTX 260 (had to shave plastic off a sata cable as the GTX260 sat over 2 sata ports with a 450Watt psu that has half the current on the +12v rail that the manual for the gtx 260 says it needs, but it runs without hiccups or problems at full capacity..*

This gives new meaning to the phrase epic FAIL!

Of course, Asrock aren't the only ones guilty of placing the ATX power plug where they have... A trawl of the ASUS website finds a few too many examples. Do these motherboard layout designers take drugs or something?!?

Oh, and don't get me started on how close most manufacturers place the memory slots to where the video card will jut out. This is a pain in the rear if you want to add memory at a later date. Gah!

Didn't Josh leave Atomic? And why post this article so late?
