2 x 22" LCD

Regarding running two 22" LCDs at full res, would a 7800GTX be powerful enough?

I don't intend to run games on the computer anymore, it will be used for my uni work (office work, matlab etc nothing graphically intensive) and editing my photography stuff (which COULD use the graphics card, or does this mainly rely on ram and cpu?)

Thanks guys :)

for desktop stuff you could theoretically use a 4mb onboard video card if it had dual heads. You don't need anything flash at all just for displaying the desktop

+1

I'm running a 22" LCD at 1440x900 and 17" LCD at 1280x1024 on a nVidia FX5200 128MB card at work. Any semi-decent 256MB card should be fine.

I just bought the LG W2252TQ 22", and it's very niiice :) Then again, that was coming from only having a 15.4" laptop display, so anything would probably have been a huge improvement...
