Just got my tax back, and i think im going to get a LG W2252TQ, which will take over as my main monitor and should really help with uni stuff.

Anyway have this monitor? It seemed to do well based on the Monitor roundup on Atomic. I'm mostly going to be using it for normal internet and uni stuff, but i also watch movies and play games. The 2ms response time will be good for the games and the contrast is better than the ACER AL1916W that i have now, ss i think it will do well.

YAY or NAY?

1) Dynamic contrast afaik. Doesn't matter dick all because you'll usually turn it off because it's horrible.
2) 2ms doesn't matter. You probably wont notice a difference below a good 8ms, and the 2ms is not native 2ms, it's 5 or 8ms and has been artificially accelerated.

I'm not a fan of LG, but if you want it go ahead. Keep in mind the two above points tho.

Well i bought the W2242 which is the little brother of that one. I love it, the blacks are far better than my last ACER monitor and having two big monitors makes things so much easier when dealing with lots of programs, and datasheets etc.

It may be a mid range display, but its definitely better than anything i've had before.
