Which 24" monitor - oh and I live in a useless country too! :P

I live in NZ, and I was planning to buy the G2400W monitor by benQ, but they don't sell it here in the country. The closest thing to it is the V2400W, which, I've heard, is actually also the same panel (as most monitors these days are).

Any information on 24" monitors, I actually have to buy one very soon, like 2 days time, so any info on a good, but not hard on the wallet, would be great.

Thanks :-)

Well I just got that 24", and in the warranty info, it says something like 'for Australia and New Zealand', so I don't see why they'd have that and not sell it there...

I went with the VX2640W, there's not much choice in nz :S. They barely costs more than the good 24's.

I love it (or rather... them :P). The colours are so much richer than any other screens ive used (Acer al2414wd, Dell 2407, Dell 2707, AOC 24", Samsung 226bw).

The only negative with the 26" is the larger dot pitch. I don't tolerate it, but I'm anal about that sort of thing =P
If you don't notice it, more power to you =P~

With regards to colour: it's most likely the setup of the screen, not the actual screen itself.

Yea, i've never gone to the effort of trying to calibrate a screen to my liking. If i try to, i only make it look worse :P

You mean the lower DPI :P

Okay I bought my new screen today, ended up being the ViewSonic 2626WM, strange thing was that it came without a DVI cable, even though it has a DVI input.

For the moment it looks alright, the brightness is a little high but I fixed that with CCC. Pretty much loving the largeness of it, it's pretty much a half a meter wide <3

Yay :D

Also, tried DMC4 and Grid so far and they both run "fabulous" ! :D

Yeah, my BenQ G2400 has a HDMI port, HDMI label on the front, yet no cable. Unless I didn't see it. But I'm pretty sure there wasn't one.

Nope.

It's fairly standard for monitors to only include 1 type of cable. If you're lucky you get two.

My AOC 210V came with a VGA and a DVI cable, that's just why.

But I scored a free DVI cable yesterday from an IT techi at auckland city council, so it's pretty sweet now.

I sold my Q6600 today, and the difference it's gonna cost me to upgrade is seriously gonna put in a tight position in terms of money this fortnight.
