I think its pretty reasonable for a sound card like this and its also better then Creative. -----

Bah, i'm with Kung Fu - I got an X-plosion and it's basically the same thing as this, though the X-Fi Prelude by Auzentech is out with the X-Fi chipset + the Dolby digital and dts live encoders featured in their previous cards. ----- Quote by twinair Even in winter, she's kinda moist. An update on the Linux drivers front (for this card), it seems that either my email to Bluegears (now called BGears) got through, or the Alsa devs noticed my posting to their bug tracker. 6 weeks ago they committed the BGears driver (which is GPL) to their mainline tree, and it looks like there's been a bunch of work done on it since. This hopefully means that as of the next Alsa release, this card should work out of the box on Linux. The driver does appear to be a general cmi8788 chipset driver, so this will probably support all the other cards based on the same chipset as well. The status of dolby stuff is unknown, but that's likely to be all proprietary stuff. ----- Ycros/Sorcy/Sorceror

Personly i think the x-fi xtreme gamer is the best choice for gaming out of those 3 cards. The b-inspire is the better all round card and the razer is a waiste of money. In the price range of the razer i'd be going for: http://www.coolpc.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1467 or head over to nintek to join in on the auzentech prelude [x-fi based] deal they have going. cheers -----

Hi KhanAge07 and welcome to Atomic :) Your best bet would be to create a new thread, asking specifically what you want, and what you'll be using it with. And no, most people here run custom built computers ;) ----- Minister of Technology Quote by Shikimaru TheFrunj doesn't guess, when he forms words with his lips, the world will Warp and change to do his bidding.
