Multimedia Speaker System - Bose

For my new rig im building, i was thinking to go with Bose Campanion 5

i was just wondering if there was a better similar system out there for that price range?

i wouldn't touch bose with a 40foot pole...

Overpriced for what you get.

But that's just my personal opinion

BOSE used to produce great stuff, but alas, not anymore, I suggest letting your ears make the final decision

oh yeh sorry forgot to say:
ill mainly be gaming on my pc with some movie viewing on the side
was contemplating a 5.1 setup but not sure what would be best

Logitech Z-2300's are awesome for the price, I have them and highly recommend them.
If you want 5.1 then the Logitech Z-5500's I have heard are very good too.

the bose speakers sound great but compared to the 5500's and a nice soundcard (mmmmmmm auzentech prelude) they can't compete.
if you are after a 2.1 imo the Z2300 are more the adequate.
