Or software >_>

Either way, Avast is a good freebie.
I use mcafee myself because I like the UI.

Or Security.

I use AVG, I've tried em all and it seems the less system hog of the lot.

Avast is very good. I highly recommend it. I have used it to clean and repair many a machine.

And as has been stated, this is in the wrong section. Please try to put things in the appropriate section.

AVG free

It's OK.
All of them have holes in them and don't catch everything.
All of them cause a performance hit but none as bad as Norton.

AVG if you know how to look for viruses and remove them yourself.

Kaspersky if you want a program to do it all for you.

Another + 1 for AVG.

However, as has been mentioned there is no anti-virus solution out there that will protect you 100%

Avira AntiVir Personal Ed. classic. for me
my brother use's Avast

this is a very good site, check the box's and click compare

http://www.pcworld.com/article/124475-1/article.html

on a side note, i used to use AVG around this time last year, i did a compelte scan with it (updateded to that time) and it came back clean, when i switched to Avira it picked up 3 items. Avira has also stopped alot of keyloggers on the wowforums when i used to play wow. and also picks up a random file that tries to get into my system when i visit dodgey site's or click on a dodgey link,

I couldn't be bothered checking what version I have and I do let it update every time it needs to.
