Hi guys,
I'm just after your thoughts on installing Vista 64bit, like which mobos are 64bit compatible, GPU, CPUs etc. It's been about 4 years since my last PC build, and I'm in the process of deciding which path to take Vista 32bit or 64bit. There were some writeups about Vista 64bit but this was a few years ago and nothing much since then.
Thank you.

pretty much all non Celeron and non budget chips are 64 bit these days. roughly all non nano-ITX boards are 64bit compatable too.

however, not all printers have 64 bit drivers. so install vista 64 and enjoy your new computing era, except you may not be able to print.

also. this should probably be in tech talk or building and troubleshooting

Current Celeron E1xx0 models are 64-bit enabled.

I believe the current Sempron LE models aren't though.

Yeah check to make sure any peripherals you're carrying over (i.e. Printers) have 64 bit Vista support then go ahead.
