Firstly I tried Grid, and it simply would be a pain at 0.5 FPS when AA was enabled.

Then you have a computer problem.Nothing to do with vista.Take it to someone that has a bit of Tech knowledge to sort it out for you.

Ohhhh snap ;)

Then you have a configuration problem.

I'm running GRID on a Vista x64 rig running a Q6600, 2GB RAM and a 9800GTX+.

All good at my 22" native res of 1680x1050 with everything on full.

I have also had problems with Vista having a shit fit when running some games... however a lot of my other games, ones I was told wouldn't run on Vista, run better then they did on XP.

with Vista I have had driver problems, compatibility issues, you name it. But would I go back to XP... nuh uhhh. I love how Vista prioritises my startup items so that I can actually use my computer straight away instead of having to wait a bit. So yeah, expect a bit of disappointment with Vista FB, but enjoy everything that's better. My advice to you is, do a fresh install... and install some tweak programs to get things working better.

I tried the GRID demo, it ran VERY slow, like a slideshow on my machine. I have all latest hardware drivers.Other games like Unreal Tournament 2003 and 2004, and Quake 3 run as smooth as silk.

This is your problem:

From your sig
Asus fanless 8500GT 512mb vga,

Ditch that pathetic excuse for a video card and get something with balls... It's fine for 4-5 year old games, but nothing since about 2007.

ATI's 4850 would be a good bang-for-buck buy.

I might only have a 7600GT, but the newest game I play is Civ4, and I rarely buy new games.

I'm working on getting an upgrade path... As of today I have a P5Q Pro waiting to go into my computer.
