So I'm gonna go out and grab an Ipod tomorrow, was checking out prices, and so far the Ipod classic seems to winning in terms of value and performance etc. I like the idea of video playback and what not, anyway thats 320 from dick smiths. Is it worth getting that, or can I get something better, with a decent size screen and video playback, atleast 40gb for cheaper? Whats good? What isnt?

Cheers.

+1 curiosity. Although wanting to stay away from Apple.

Zune80 would be great, 'cept for no local warranty and I'm trying to investigate battery life.

I have a Zune 80. Not many cases of em breaking down, but there are some dealers in Australia who say that they have warranty. Such as VoidTech or (the place I got it) Mp3Outlet

http://www.themp3outletstore.com.au/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Zune&x=0&

I don't think they have it in stock, but just email him. The guy is nice, he PERSONALLY dropped it off to me. XD

Overall, the Zune is a kickass MP3 player, and I think better (my opinion) than the iPod

EDIT: RAARGH, go ze bump. Sorry, not used to this forum's layout.

I'm interested in the Zune's UI. Looks nice, intuitive:)

It is, infact it's too much of a joy to use. I'll be sitting down and listening to a song, and I'll change so it I have an excuse to play with the UI. xD

Only gripe (seriously, the ONLY gripe) would be that when browsing artist, there's no way to display all the songs, instead you have to browse by album. Unless there's a setting for it that I haven't yet found.

Well, I only EVER go by album so it's no issue to me :P
