For people's information, I believe that the KDE (at least <4, I'm not sure about the new stuff) bluetooth stack is much more useful than the one for Gnome.
And if you are using another WM all together, unless you want to install a bunch of unnecessary deps from gnome/kde you're still stuck with the bluetooth CLI.
It's still usable/functional though I might point out, as long as you're not unaccustomed to your bash-fu...
...and as a Linux user, you wouldn't be, right?
