Nokia Phone Techies! Need help retreiving my data from 6230i!

So was really fkn tired on Saturday, spilt some shit on my white shorts, chucked them in the wash. Bam, dead phone contained in shorts.

Now I've let it dry out and it wont turn on, I pulled it apart, used contact cleaner and cleaned the bits of corossion off and still no good, it looks like either the bottom right chip on the front of the board or at least all the little fuses/capacitors around it have burnt out.

What are my options for retreiving my data? I really need phone numbers back off this phone, and calender would be awesome too! Which chip contains the onboard memory? Is it possible to get another 6230i and transplant this chip accross to get into it? Or if I took it to a Nokia repair shop would they have a rig they could put this chip on to retreive the data from it?

I give no fark for the phone, it's obviously dead beyond repair (or at least reasonable repair) but I really need the data!

First things first, did you store your info on the phone or did you tell it use put the info on the SIM card? Put your SIM card into another phone and see if your phone numbers show up.

I have 3 numbers on my sim card from a couple of weeks ago when I was out drinking and my battery was running dead. Everything was stored on the phone memory.

I have a backup from about a year ago when I swapped phones but since my desktop isn't set up and my laptop isn't good enough to run PC Suite properly I haven't got anything since. I've met a fair few people in that time and really hope I can retreive their numbers, there's some people I'll probably never get ahold of again otherwise.

I rang Nokia repair centre today and they informed me they don't replace chips, they just replace boards.

If anyone on here is a phone tech I was wondering if it is possibly to remove the memory chip from this 6230i and put it in another 6230i?

Also I searched online for the schematics of the phone and it seems it's the D200 chip that is either blown or has all the resistors around it blown. It's a bit of a mess around that chip.

I think you may be outta luck mate..

The only thing I found was a Mobile Flasher, but not sure if the phone needs to be powered up or not..

From the features;
"Able to backup or restore Phone book and ring tone".

But good luck with it.
Next time save to your memory card/sim. ;p

All my phone numbers wont fit on my sim, bah I just need a butload of money for a decent computer lol, or for Nokia to release PC Suite for PS3 haha.

Damn my inability to buy an item for the task, always has to be the biggest and the best, therefore no new computer for a while.

I'm really surprised that the chips on these phones can't be taken off, or if they can, nobody does it. I guess phone companies don't have value for their customers data so just replace the mainboards alltogether.
