Microsoft Sidewinder X6 Keyboard and X5 Mouse Refresh

Did a search on this so i think no has posted about it yet

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/oempartners/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=102 (Product Page)

http://www.i4u.com/verdict-471.html (Review)

Microsoft adds a keyboard and a mouse refresh to their growing line of Sidewinder computer accessories.

The keyboard X6 has a detachable numpad that can be attached to either side of the keyboard

Unfortnately the macros are recorded onto the PC not the keyboard so you may lose the macros if you go to Lans.

The Mouse (X5) I think looks like more of the same.

What do you think?

i think that if the keyboard is as good as the original mouse than its on a winner. i might actually pick up one of these to replace my reclusa, i dont like the blue backlight on it.

yeah, as i have said before i love the shape and the feel of my sidewinder v1.0 mouse. it can do as low as 400 dpi das_book, but your in the sub 400 range, arent you??

also, thats a sweet keyboard sceptre, but the only thing i dont like about it is the lack of backlight, the backlight is so good at night time, but otherwise fairly useless.

Im pondering how nice it's brushed aluminum goodness would look on my desk, with the soft touch of my fingers running up and down it's smooth body. Pressing in the keys firmly, gently, and repeatedly... over, and over... and over......... Yess... Yesss.. YESSS!! ... Uhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.................

/looks down

Whoops got too excited... :P

But seriously, I would love this keyboard to adorn my desk... but I just can't justify $100 bucks on a keyboard, hardware comes first. Who else understands what Im saying?

I agree. I can't justify that kind of cost either... Apple Keyboard might be your next best bet? (Its made of anodised aluminium according to the apple website)

Apple??

Mate I don't fraternise with the enemy, plus those apple keyboards look a little on the lame side to me.

The thing is I have planned hardware upgrades, so right now... I can't justify spending that much on a keyboard... I'd like to, but FPS, and load times comes before flash accessories, and style.
