Suitable PSU Recommendations?

I'm considering changing my motherboard and video card, but I'm thinking I may need to also upgrade my power supply.

Intended system specs will be as follows:

ASUS P5Q
E6600
HD 4870 512MB or 1GB
Audigy 2
DVD Writer + CD Writer
5-10 SATA HDDs
2GB DDR2 675MHz (2x1GB)
SATA RAID PCI Card
5x80mm case fan, Zalman 9500CNPS

My PSU currently is a Antec TruePower 2.0 480W, and according to the specs has the following limitations:

+5v, +12v1, +12v2, +3.3v max output: 460W
+12v1, +12v2 max load: 33A

Can read more here:
http://www.antec.com/specs/TPII480_spe.html

My guess would be a decent 600-650W PSU is in order in both terms of total system draw at optimum load and features. I think my 480W would "do it" but at very high load, correct? I would be overclocking should I go ahead with this.

Intially I would have 4-5 HDDs in it but would be looking to add another 5-6 down the line Apart from that I'm not really looking to future proof myself against anything, as the only upgrade I'd consider would be maybe 800MHz/1066MHz generic RAM and something like an E8400 down the line. Probably a case that can easily accomodate the extra HDDs as well.

I think that is everything important to know. If there is any other relevant information you need let me know.

Thanks.

Your current PSU is just about right.

70Wish for the E6600, 130Wish for the 4870, max of maybe 50W for the rest.

So 250W. Around 20A needed on the +12V rails.

You'll be fine.

*EDIT* Oops, didn't see the 5-10 HDDs.

That'll mess with things a bit, throwing on up to 130W extra into the mix (plus a peak spike of ever higher).

With extra HDDs a nice single rail makes things easier.

Silverstone OP650 would be my suggestion.

Interesting. I would have expected the E6600 to pull down a bit more than that.

So those figures include up to 10HDDs? If so - most excellent. If I can keep this PSU that saves me a bit of hassle. Thanks for the help.

EDIT: The calculations I did earlier came up with ~500W recommended PSU, but I didn't account for overclocking, hence I thought a 600W may be the best solution.

Hmm, can't find the OP650 anywhere. Altech no longer list it and all the stores listing it on Staticice are interstate.

I was mucking around with a Corsair TX-650 the other week, which was one 52A rail IIRC, and can still get those through Altech and elsewhere.

That'd be the go then.
