attention atomicans (btw, did you know that i came up with this word ? i mean "atomicans" ... no really!!)

i am in need of a logitech trackman stationary mouse if possible. ( http://www.tcocd.de/Pictures/Peripheral/Logitech/tcd26f-1.jpg ) it HAS to be one like this. it's for a little girl with MS. i am aware that it is no longer made. i checked ebay and found none. anyway, if anyone has one for sale/trade or can point to one for sale/trade (working of course) they will get a wonderful reward. the connection type can be serial or ps/2 it doesn't matter because there are converters available.... we can also accept the other similar logitech trackman marble 3 ( http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/3102JHY56FL._SL500_AA280_.jpg ) button trackball also no longer made. (but we need the version with NO scrollwheel in the middle button)

thanks....

Why not a newer version, like this one?

I've got a logitech marble mouse, the one where left click is the thumb if you want it.

What about the Kensington trackballs?
http://au.kensington.com/Products/Default.aspx?S=6000932&G=50
or a bigtrack trackball
http://www.novitatech.org.au/product.asp?p=247&id=1022
Oh and just a warning, If you only have a serial port for the mouse then using a USB mouse through a USB>PS2 adapter then through a PS2>serial adapter will most likely not work.

Can you explain exactly why they have to be exactly those two?
I know you said it is for a little girl with MS, so mobility/control problems are the obvious reason for wanting something a bit easier to use than a standard mouse.
We have one of these
http://www.clearlysuperiortech.com/PC-Tracinfo.html
http://www.spectronicsinoz.com/product.asp?product=234
at our internet access centre for people with motor control problems, seems to work quite well.

Haven't seen any adapters to go from a usb peripheral to a serial port, plenty the other way, IE serial device to usb port on the PC.
I did have some serial to PS2 converters so you could use a PS2 mouse on a serial port which worked ok, but if you had a USB mouse and used one of those USB to PS2 mouse adapters on the back of the serial adapter it would not work.

Some stuff here, there must be more out there.
Need to copy past removing the s wont let it link.
But it does look like they are for serial devices to USB like aliali said.

yes guys still "investigating"

also the ball/roller HAS to be used by the right hand thumb ergo it MUST sit to the left (not center) of the device. also preferably in a lower positions like the 2 logitech models. all others i've seen so far do not meet this criteria.

thanks..
