Can wireless B hold a connection better than G?

Mates having problems with wireless dropouts.

Usually his connection is good, but when SOMETHING happens, it drops to low, and it becomes intermittent as fuck (he'll probably pop his head into this thread if he finds it, lol)

I recon theres some technology in use (like the fridge cooling? air con? pool filter?) but we cant isolate it even if that is the case. So thats kinda irrelivant.

I was wondering. If we force the router into 'B' only mode, do i remember correctly that B is a more 'stable' connection, just with 11mbps. (the nets only 1.5mbps, and there is NO file sharing going on, so meh).

Enlighten me. I hav googled. its not too helpful.

EDIT: google helped!

whatcha know!

I thought I was right. We'll try it.

I think the B can work over a longer distance too with increasing difficulties as you get further away as expected.

Or try changing the channel from 11 to 6 to avoid the interference.

well changing to B has significantly helped.

his net drops every 15 mins instead of every 30 seconds.
