USB to Network Adaptor

I am using USB to control a cutting machine but would like to put the computer in a separate office away from the noise etc. The only problem is I cant use a USB cable longer than 1.5m. I will need just under 10m of cable to do the job.

I found this http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1431861&CatId=589
RJ45 Ethernet, 10/100Base-T USB 2.0 Adapter

Would it be possible to just plug this into my computer, run some cat5 and plug another one in on the other end & go from there?

Any help would be great guys.
Cheers.

Will your USB CNC support Ethernet?

using 2 USB Ethernet adapters won't make the machine on the other end appear to be a USB device to the host machine, it'll set up an ethernet network.

Maybe something like this? :P

or this, which sounds much like what you've envisioned

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=XC4839&CATID=20&keywords=&SPECIAL=&fo is an option too. At most you might need a couple of hubs on-route to act like "repeater" stations.
