New Internode Pricing

As the title implies Internode have announced new pricing schemes and quotas for their 1.5Mbps ADSL plans.

Can read all about it here:

http://www.internode.on.net/news/2008/08/98.php

I was on the 40GB @ $84.95 per month plan so I get an extra 10GB/month quota now at the same price, or I can remain at 40GB quota and save $15 a month.

I'm pretty happy about these new plans.

Ye me too. I was going to drop back to the 25Gb plan to save money, now can either save money by staying on the same plan or save even more by dropping back to the 20Gb plan.
Win.

Ali, how long have you been on decent ADSL speeds now?? I remember you were getting shafted on ISDN for ages.

Got ADSL about November from memory Milano.
The ISDN caused some fun though. With ISDN my line was listed as incompatible with ADSL so changing was a bit of a drama. ISDN had to be removed before they would even "test" if I could get ADSL.
Fuckers.
So on 1500/256 and enjoying easy sub 100m/s pings in BF2 after several years of 180 m/s pings.
Only just within range as line syncs at 2000 kbps, which also means not much point in going to full 8Mbit ADSL 1+, speed increase would not justify the extra cost.

Geesus, what a nightmare. & I bet there are plently more ISDN customers thinking they can't get ADSL now because of that same reason. Poor bastards.

How did you end up finding out that you needed to firstly get rid of ISDN before testing for ADSL?

Yeah I've had a super run with internode. I signed up for a 8mb 20gb plan and after a while realised that it was only connecting at 1700kb, so swaped to a 1.5mb 30gb plan which internode sent me mail a matter days latter saying they were upgrading the quotas on all plans and I would now be on 40. bam 20gb to 40gb in a snap. Now i find out of you guys that I would be on 50gb(I didnt realise anything was changing on the 40gb plan aside from the price reduction). awesome!

Contacted Internode about getting ADSL and they said line is incompatible, so I mentioned I was on ISDN and they said it has to be removed by Telstra before I could go any further. So I talked to Telstra and they could remove it and put me back on 56K dialup (gulp). Funny thing is Telstra could switch me straight to ADSL from ISDN providing my line passed the test. So I made damn sure if I failed the test they could put ISDN back on, although the fuckers did try to talk me in to going NextG. No bloody way was I even going near that overpriced piece of shit as I was doing 20Gb a month on ISDN which works out about $2600.00 a month. Fucking ridiculous.
