I used putty before and it could automatically copy when text was selected.

I'm using securecrt at work and want to have the same functionionality. Tried google but results turned up negative.

Please help

If its not a feature of the app, its likely not gonna happen.

unless you can find another app that hooks that one and have THAT program handle the clipboard.

google some clipboard tools and see what you can find.

otherwise, i doubt you'll have any luck.

It is a feature of the app. I have seen CBT CCNA vids where the instructor uses Secure CRT to do this.

It's there, somewhere. I vaguely remember having an issue with this myself though in the past. It was there in one version of SecureCRT and the nwhen I upgraded it was gone. That's when I made the move to PuTTY, something I should've done much earlier.

Is there any real reason why you can't use PuTTY at work? It really is much better.

One thing I will say about SecureCRT, I like it's VT100 font, and I keep a copy of it handy (the font) to install on my system and I use it with PuTTY as it's the best terminal font I've come across for Windows thus far.

Wowweee, yeah thats great!!!

I love Secure CRT cause of the tabbed sessions - which putty doesn't have...

PuTTY Connection Manager and PuttyTabs add that functionality also.

Tabbed sessions. Novel idea.

Real (wo)men use "screen". :)

Tabs do have the advantage that one can click with a mouse to switch. ;-)

Nothing that screen couldn't do using some ncurses/gpm voodoo however.

Realer men use ALT+[F1..Fn].

And by realer, I mean ones who don't know how to background tasks and use screen.

In the context of terminal programs, this doesn't seem like a great loss. :)

Noted, all the same.
