I'm currently rebuilding a WebKiosk Live CD that was built by someone else and I need to access files located withing the squashfs. I'm going to change some splash screens and alter the browser to use a proxy server. How would I go about viewing and extracting the files in the squashfs volume?? ----- Thats not wahaj.

stuartl@taijia ~ $ unsquashfs --help SYNTAX: unsquashfs [options] filesystem [directory or file to extract] -v[ersion] print version, licence and copyright information -i[nfo] print files as they are unsquashed -l[s] list filesystem only -d[est] <pathname> unsquash to <pathname>, default "squashfs-root" -f[orce] if file already exists then overwrite ^^ Have a play with that... or otherwise:
# mount /some/file.sqfs /mnt -o loop # rsync -aP /mnt/ /somewhere/big # umount /mnt (do edits to /somewhere/big) # mksquashfs /somewhere/big /some/new-file.sqfs ----- Stuart Longland (aka.
