Most Linux distros are precompiled for i386, so an old school Pentium shouldn't be an issue. It's fast, it's a rock-solid OS, and it's not Windows 95, and it'll run Firefox, T/Bird and mIrc quite happily. What exactly do you want to do with it? Yeah, it falls, crushes XP and all its plastic trims, and keeps rolling on. My longest uptime record was an NT4 box. well its was going to be a hardcore gaming rig but you know havent got around to over-clocking the 233mhz to even higher yet, at the moment its only purpose is to have a very light weight gui and can run internet and lets say gaim......
