One could incorporate that logo into many a different scene to great effect. I found these pretty hard to read. Also, g0t hopscotch? :) I like Devoid's earlier one: http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/478/mi1yf3.jpg Good work fellas. ----- bonna-wana jeebi-wah?

Stylish though! :) I find many band logos are difficult to read - this one is at least legible on second glance, which is more than I can say for many metal bands' logos. ----- ---------- -----

Yeah, but this isn't a metal band. Metal bands are known for their almost-unreadable logos. I don't think it suits techno'ey sorta music though. ----- bonna-wana jeebi-wah?

Your other style with the building in the background looked very DJ/Techno/Dance and professional. This.. I dont know what to make of, only that ive turned into a usability Nazi for web and this comes under unreadable to the average user. I think if your going to go with something like this in this style.. dont join the loops and make it bolder. Consider scalability at small sizes. Its rather thin. [Edit] Ive made a slight modification to show you what I mean, its much more readable now. http://i199.photobucket.com/albums/aa265/moofactory1/1.gif Edited by moofactory: 13/8/2008 10:39:48 PM ----- http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=usr-moofactory

You think that having the artists name in clear, legible writing on the cover would be normal and preferred, but actual covers belies this point. Blank covers of a single colour, covers with a single image only, covers with an illegible band logo only, covers with an illegible logo plus and image, covers with artist name and album title in what looks to be Arial or something equally as plain. All of these are common and accepted. Usually an album with a difficult to decipher typeface on the cover will have a more plain type on the spine, but even here I've seen plenty of albums who delight in keeping their information obscure. Personally I don't mind if the artist logo is stylised to the point of being non-obvious, particularly if the style is kept constant between works, but prefer the album title to be more legible. ----- ---------- -----

Personally, I think the insistance to add a picture to your name is fail. It can make it a bit tacky, and is hard to work with for album art. http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/4948/mijb1.jpg is the one I like most in this thread. ----- Mreow? http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=9&t=17306

Well, to me, what you're asking isn't a logo so much as a branding tool. Something that you can put on anything that makes it instantly recognisable as yours. Am I right? A logo could do that, but I'm not sure if a logo and text would work - at least not the type you've described. With the text that devoids done, you can easily change the colour to suit the background you're putting it on, and it's learnable too. ----- Mreow? http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/forums.asp?s=2&c=9&t=17306
