This article was actually one of the better ones.

I dont think inquirer articles need to stop, they just need to be screened well before being posted.

This one just stuck to the basics of reporting and didn't have some insane anti-<someone> rant added for spice. This is how they should be.

So does this mean that we can get physics incorporated into Aero or what?

Why?

In other news: This is the biggest non-event of the year.
Oh wow, MS has licensed havok so they can use it. Welcome to what every other developer who's used it in a game has done.

Sorry, get shitted off when I'm doing work and I see something stupid :<
It's not that it's not good, it's just that everyone has been able to license Havok since forever.

Had MS BOUGHT Havok, it'd be news, but them licensing it for their use, and their inhouse developers use? Not so much IMO.
edit: Especially as previously if their inhouse developers wanted to use it, they'd have licensed it for their game/program anyway.

I don't know. I think it's one step closer to Micosoft purchasing Havok outright and merging the API with DirectX.

Personally, I've love to see a universal Physics API intergrated into DirectX.

I'm kind of the opposite.
It'd be handy to have, but why add something like physics to DX when it's suited for a seperate system in a lot of ways?
