Didn't manage to grab homebake tickets? Missed out on Splendor? |
Don't worry because this year there is an awsome music festival right in you're backyard (yes it's a bit smaller but we'll take what we can get).
Now for the details!
When:Saturday 22 of Novemeber, starts at 11am goes till 11pm (though from previous experience it goes on much later)
Where: Thoroughbred Park, Canberra Racecourse
THE LIVING END
BLISS N ESO
SOMETHING WITH NUMBERS
MUPH N PLUTONIC
HELL CITY GLAMOURS
costs $79 + booking fee is you buy before the day (which I really don't recommend, cause we got there early last year and all the door tickets were well and truly sold out). details of where to buy are here http://www.myspace.com/tracksidefestival
Alternatively RaYdeX has a presale code he can use to get tickets now.
Note: this is an all ages festival, so if you're under 18 please come along, but they'll make you wear a different wrist band so you can't buy any booze)
Now I went last year with a few atomicans an had an absolute blast, it's a pretty decent venue. Really exited about seeing quite a few of these bands. Would love for all of you to come along.
still debating whether to buy tickets for foreshore which is the weekend after this, please mention if you'd rather go to foreshore so I can make up my mind :P (though I will definitely be attending this, tickets are already brought)

I've heard of so few bands, and of those I remember so little of what they sound like. I think you'll have to show me some then I'll make up my mind =) |
My name is Hung and I'm a Canborrowtomican!
What do you like?
Life is long...young life is not.

Aswesome, definitely will have to go tho this one again! |
It's about time I got to another Living End Gig, haven't been to them for years! Would also love to see Something with Numbers.
The rest of the lineup falls into my "I'm-sure-I-know-and-like-their-music-but-I-just-can't-think-of-what-they-play-right-now& group. But I'm sure they won't disappoint. I'll have to go on a listening rampage to get up to speed.
And no Clare Bowditch this year. So I miss my chance to hang with the cool muso crowd yet again. :'(

Some people are like Slinkies,
Not really good for anything,
But they still bring a smile to your face,
When you push them down a flight of stairs.

well the people I am most keen to see are of course the living end, Cut Copy, the Panics, British India, Sparkadia, Blue Juice and Grafton Primary. I love something with numbers but I saw them last year, so if they conflict with one of the above bands I'll not mind missing them too much. |
Hung you'll have to pop around quickly this weekend where I'll have a playlist for you to listen to ok?
