"Competing where Dino and Kayl, no strangers to the event, Deanzo, from New Zealand"

Is it just me or does this sentence kind of lack in the sense-making-department? :P

Shouldn't the second word be "were"? And all in all the list of names just doesn't quite make sense :P

Rob.

I was thinking the same thing, and also "With" instead of where. But clearly the H is not suppose to be there :P

Competing where Dino and Kayl's house was, no strangers to the event appeared. Many people, like Deanzo from New Zealand, had a feast!

You weren't wrong, I was merely showing an alternative. People often bag English and how this is the intertrons, but the simple placement of a comma can have such a large impact on the meaning of a relatively simple sentence.

Technically the last comma should remain there, for it to be proper English.

There was a johnathan creek episode, where a fly landed on a fax and looked like a comma. By landing there, it turned a joyful message into a devastating one, and resulted in depression and death of a character.

So yeah, commas, don't mess with them, or you'll pay! :P~
